Part of the shear joy and excitement found in the classic car hobby is in the on-road motoring experience. Owning and restoring our four-wheeled gems is only half as much fun as firing them up and actually driving them. And if you’re looking for a local spot to cruise to (more…)

It wasn’t that long ago that we told you about the story of Jerry Coglianese and his 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. To jog your memory, a few years ago Jerry was on the prowl for a bow-tie muscle machine and spied his Butternut Yellow GM dream, after just seeing a corner peaking out from under a car cover in a residential area. Undeterred, Jerry approached the owner and (more…)

As the drummer in the band, Lil Red and the Howlin’ Wolves, when Kirk rolls out, he’s bringing numerous cases of equipment with him. It seems all of us car enthusiasts got our passion for vehicles by playing with the 1/64 or 1/18th scale versions when we were far too young to drive. As we got older, we exchanged our family room carpet highways for the real asphalt deal. Even though the size grows immensely, the love never dies. (more…)

One of the great things about the Chicagoland classic car and truck community, is you can never be quite sure what area enthusiasts will have in their garages. The Midwest may mean bitterly long winters but that just gives more time for the wrenching guys and gals to fine-tune the cool and unique project vehicles they have tucked away.
