There’s always certain vehicles at a massive show like the 2012 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals that when you pass by, they just stop you in your tracks. This 1971 Plymouth Hemi ‘Cuda was one that did just that. Maybe it was the glossy Blue Pearl paint or the Gen III 426ci V8 HEMI V8 under the hood, but whatever it was, this vehicle looked fine no matter what angle you took in. John Wargo owns this super sweet drop top, as well as the Custom Shop, which is responsible for the transformation of this classic. The 540hp late-model powerplant breathes easier thanks to a MagnaFlow exhaust while a Bowler Performance 4L80E transmission gets the power to the wheels. To give the Mopar a road-hugging personality, Alterkation subframes have been installed, along with coilover shocks and Wilwood disc brakes. Inside the cabin, custom seats have been covered in Enduratex blue leather and suede. Deno’s Upholstery was responsible for the interior makeover.
All in all, we thought this ‘Cuda was one sweet ride.
