As we crest the halfway point of winter, our cabin fever is at an all-time high. Needless to say, we’re eagerly awaiting the return of spring signaling cruising season once again. That’s why we were more than excited to get inside the 2013 Custom Rides Car Show and Expo where warmth and custom and classic machines awaited us. But before we could get to the convention center doors we couldn’t help but notice a few vintage rides out in the parking lot that were worth a closer look. It appears blustery midwest skies couldn’t keep a few avid enthusiasts from wanting to motor down to the show behind the wheel of their own unique ride. After snapping a plethora of photos on these two rolling classics, we eventually made it indoors and to the show floor where we found more than a few four-wheeled toys. Stay tuned as there is lots more coverage to come. You won’t want to miss it!
Another white vintage cruiser, oddly enough from the same year, was this 1962 Cadillac Series 62. With it’s sharp, creased fins, wide white walled tires and mammoth chromed grille the Caddy looked downright regal when parked among the plethora of modern non-descript vehicles.
