After a wild Midwest week filled with chilly temps and flood-like deluges of rain, this Shelby Cobra replica was more than eager to stretch its V8 legs at the first warm day the area has seen in quite a while. The low and lean sportster looked striking with its eye-searing lime green paint and carbon fiber-esque dual racing stripes. We can’t confirm what was underhood but a side badge boldly proclaims a 427ci power plant may be tucked between the wheel wells. Peaking our interest in the austere and all-business cockpit was Carroll Shelby’s autograph on the passenger side dash. At some point the Texan racing legend gave his stamp of approval on this Cobra’s top-notch workmanship making this four-wheeled serpent one very cool and special machine.
