One group of area auto enthusiasts that certainly knows how to assemble ultra kool eye-catching machines are the Voodoo Kings of Illinois. At a recent stop by their Itasca, IL cruise night we were drawn to one member’s 1950 Ford F-1, affectionately and appropriately dubbed the ‘Voodoo F-1’. The vehicle belongs to Rob Weinberg who opted for all the right touches to make his decades old ride really stand out. The Ford sits at a slammed to the ground stance while the body is coated in a well-worn patinaed paint finish. The broken-in look continues to the interior which packs a hodgepodge of pieces but still looks like a cozy spot to be for those summer night drives. Wide white walled tires and custom pinstriping on the exterior and interior add a bit of adornment to complete the look. All in all, this rough ‘n ready ride turned more than a few heads in the parking lot and we’re sure it turns even more when it’s going down the road.
