This restored 1967 Ford Mustang fastback was parked at the 2013 downtown Palatine cruise night.Ford’s Mustang galloped into the hearts of enthusiasts everywhere when it launched in 1964 and the model still continues to woo over adoring fans today. This coal-black 1967 fastback did just that, parked at a recent downtown Palatine cruise night, turning more than a few heads of those passing by. The fully-restored example packed a 390 cubic-inch V8, which is good for right around 320 horsepower and 427 lb·ft torque. A four-speed manual transmission resided between the bucket seats of the stock cabin. All in all, this sinister blue-oval coupe looked sharp from any angle and reminded us of why these sporty ‘Stangs have admirers the world over.
