Ford’s Mustang galloped into the hearts of enthusiasts everywhere when it launched in 1964 and the model still continues to woo over adoring fans today. This coal-black 1967 fastback did just that, parked at a recent downtown Palatine cruise night, turning more than a few heads of those passing by. The fully-restored example packed a 390 cubic-inch V8, which is good for right around 320 horsepower and 427 lb·ft torque. A four-speed manual transmission resided between the bucket seats of the stock cabin. All in all, this sinister blue-oval coupe looked sharp from any angle and reminded us of why these sporty ‘Stangs have admirers the world over.
