Hunting Big Bores?

Heavy muscle car hitters were pouring out of the Big Three’s factories in the 1960s and Dodge wanted their drivers to be ready for any kind of straight-line romp. For 1967 they offered their Coronet R/T which came equipped with a brutish 440-Magnum V8 paired with a special 4-barrel carb. Other mods included a heavy-duty suspension, wider brakes and high-performance tires. It was a great combination for lead-foot enthusiasts who were ‘hunting for trophy-winning performance that handles beautifully’ as this vintage ad depicts.
