Studebaker was a unique company. It became the world’s largest manufacturer of wagons and buggies during the late 1880s. In 1902, the company manufactured its first car, which was electric. Later, during World War II, it built B-17 bomber engines, heavy-duty trucks and the tank-like “Weasel.”
